Pregnant/ Zwanger

Dit keer eens niet voor een challenge maar wilde de kaart toch graag showen. Gewoon omdat ik hem zelf wel erg leuk geworden vind.

This time not for a challenge but wanted to show off :) Just because I think it's a very sweet/nice card.

Een collega van mij is zwanger en omdat ze een hele lieve meid is waar ik prima mee kan opschieten, heb ik haar verzoek tot een mintgroene kaart ingewilligd. Al was dat niet makkelijk.

A collegae of mine is pregnant and because she is a very sweet girl and we get along just fine, I did grant her request for a mintgreen card. Al though it was a hard one to make:)

Ze weet nog niet of het een jongen of een meisje wordt maar wilde heel graag het mintgroen omdat de babykamer die kleur heeft/krijgt.  En ik wilde persee dit lieve treintje gebruiken, al is die wel wat aangepast.

She doesn't know if it's gonna be a boy or a girl but her baby room is/will be mintgreen. And I just wanted to use this sweet train digi stamp, even though I changed it a bit...

Ik heb de letters gemaakt met de Cricut en SCAL, zodat ik ze ook precies op de juiste plek uit het kaart karton kon snijden. Het geel erdoorheen is papier met embossing van de Scuttlebug. De bloemetjes zijn met een ponsje gedaan. En de lettertjes zijn hand gemaakt met een Copic Liner en ingekleurd met Copic Ciao. De stipjes rond de letters zijn gemaakt met een 3d-stift. Geweldig leuk om mee te werken aangezien je er ieder denkbaar patroon mee kunt maken. Met de nodige oefening uiteraard :)

I cut the letters with my Cricut and SCAL so I could position them on the cardstock. The see trouogh yellow is paper embossed with the cuttlebug. The flowers are done with a punch And the text is just written with my Copic liner and colored with Copic Ciao's. Around the letters are 3D-spots made with a 3d-pen. It's just so fun to work with those because you can make every pattern you want. With some practice :)

De digistempel is van Angels Landing Zo schattig. Al heb ik hem aangepast zodat ik vier wagentjes had :)

This digistamp is from Angels Landing Zo cute. But I did alter them a bit so I could make four carts.

These are colored with Copic Ciao.

Hoop dat jullie hem leuk vinden. Morgen gaat die aan de zwangere lieverd gegeven worden. Hopelijk vindt zij hem ook geweldig.

Cute and Delightful Paper

I didn't had so much time this weekend so only one card came out the "productifity line" :)

But it is for three challenges and of course I will use it for Christmas.

ASFOS for a friend

For a sweet online friend (never met her in real life) I made this little sleepy bear.(maker stamp: Dustin Pike)
She is a bit under the weather and seems to have run low on energy (her own not for the house or the car or something)

So I made this with the sketch from: A Spoon Ful of Sugar

PaperTakeWeekly 27

At PaperTakeWeekly they had a simple sketch and you may add or take it, the way you want.

This new little digistamp from Dustin Pike is from his set MistleToad and I think they are adorable. The sketch just screamed for such a fun little toad, al though he probably won't think it's so much fun hanging up side down :)

Made it in very traditional colors but that suited the little toad better as to my normal used Christmas colors (light blue and lilac).

Friday Sketchers and Crafty Cardmakers

When I spotted the sketch at Friday Sketchers and read that it is a Dutch girl that challenged us with it..
Well I HAD to make it. I am Dutch but more important for this one; i LOVE snowflakes. Really adore them. Don't know why but love isn't something you can explain so maybe I shouldn't ask why:)

It's also for the challenge at Crafty Cradmakers where they just wanted something stamped on the card, may it be a real sttamp or a digital one.

But here is my take with some dp I just bought last week but the plastic around it ripped while unpacking and threw it away. Sadly because of that, I don't know from which company.

The picture above worked out the best.Those are exactly the colors as in real live. The other two (the total card and the detail) I couldn't get quit right. It just wouldn't do what I wanted. The colors are all wrong and somehow the shiny text is not readable while it looks in the preview pane of the camera just fine. Sorry but this is the best I could do, not so good but you'll get a good idea what the card looks like

DCL DT call

Omdat dit twee kaartjes zijn, enkel voor de DT-oproep van DutchCard Lovers en dus niet voor een buitenlandse site, is deze post enkel in het Nederlands :)

Wel weer eens lekker om enkel NL te hoeven tikken.
Ik een fikse dip gehad waarbij zelfs mijn totale creativiteit even op een dieptepunt is geweest. Rottig want mijn crea-gebeuren levert meestal juist leuke afleiding en rust in mijn hoofd. Ach langzaam aan begin ik me wat beter te voelen in mijn hooffie, nu hopen dat mijn lijf daar zich eens bij gaat aansluiten.

Maar mede dankzij die periode heb ik wel even heel hard nagedacht of het wel slim zou zijn om mee te doen om eentje van het designteam te willen worden. Uiteindelijk besloten het gewoon te proberen, de dip is weer over en crea-bezig zijn blijft mijn hobby dus waarom niet?!

Hierbij dus twee kaartjes waarbij ik zelf de eerste het mooist vindt. Wilde enkel met de tweede laten zien dat ik ook iets heel anders kan maken met dezelfde schets. Dus nogal veelzijdig kan zijn.

Kaartje 1 is een kerstkaart:

En slechts 1 detail fotootje, om te laten zien dat het kerstboompje van vilt is en ik er kleine gouden sterretjes op geplaatst heb. Anders was het boompje wel erg kaal:

En kaart 2 is een heel andere geworden. Het beertje komt uit een boekje met strijkpatronen die je daarna zou moeten borduren ergens uit 1984 ofzo. De kaart is opgebouwd uit kaartkarton met stof eroverheen. De stof is een soort doorzichtig nylon met een glimmer effect. Ik vind het erg leuk om mee te werken. Doordat het doorschijnend is kun je (zoals hier)  met verschillende kleuren ondergrond iedere keer een ander effect bereiken:

Door het slechte weer (en daardoor het slechte licht) is het glanzende glimmerige van de stof wel lastig te zien op de foto.
Op het detail is dat beter te zien, maar je kunt vooral zien dat ik van die schattige puffy letters heb gebruikt. Ik koop die bij de Zeeman en vind ze heel leuk om mee te werken.

Lint van beide kaarten komt van de markt. Kerstboompje komt van een setje ook van de zeeman vandaan. kaartkarton, sterretjes en stof komen allemaal van mijn plaatselijk hobbywinkeltje.

Hoop dat ik een kansje maak al ben ik wel door al dat denken, laat met mijn bijdrage :)

ABC and Delightful

I loved the challenge on ABC challenges : G is for Green. Green is not my favorit color but I already bought the sweetest little toread picture, and she is all in green. And strang enough I have alot green papers, solids and patterned. So I did my best :)

The sketch is from Delightful sketches and it was just right for the little toread "girl".

Fuzzy and cute

I don't have much to say about this one.
It's just one of the cutest bears I have (?? I have a lot of bears so maybe not THE cutest)

C4C8, Funky Fairy and Sophisticat

I had a creative meltdown. Probably because I was down overall but I didn't have any creatove talent what so ever, the last two weeks or so.  Maybe because I finally got less pain, or maybe I finally got an appointment in hospital for further examination, I don't know but I think I am out of the creative black-hole. Well I hope so.

So here is this card (worked a solid 3 days on it, but this night I had finally a great idea how to make it work) for the 3 challenges named below:

• SophistiCat Challenges : color combo: brown, pink + flowers
• Funky Fairy : Touchy feely: structure and touchable stuff
• Crazy4Challenges : Geometry: use 3 geometry shapes

And here are the details:

    

The beige/brown circle is felvetpaper, the pink one is embossed with little dots, the basic cardstock has some linnen texture and the flowers on the circles are foam flowers. The little shiny flowers are metal so a lot of diffrent textures and felling stuff. For FF I used the middle circle it's from their very fun paper:"doodlementals", I colored the orange spots brown to match better with the rest.

Crazy Bling

With the sketch from Crazy 4 challenges and the bling challenge at Stamp Something,  I made and other card. this one is a christmas card or just an snowy cold card. There is no sentiment on it so it could be either one.

making a photo of so much bling is rather difficult and beleave me, my brother makes a lot of photo's and has prof equipment but couldn't get it better then these:

Bling Something and Sophisticat

At my other, personal, blog I already stated that some weeks just aren't the ones you want to remember. It's not that there are real troubles but the last one and a half week are just not fun. Really a bit down. And that shows in making things. I just aren't really inspired. And yesterday I had a real bad one. The card I made just looked like something the cat threw up. Yhe colors were all wrong and didn't match, it just looked like crap. (my BF is the sweetest cos he liked it, or so he said :) )

So I stripped the whole card and began from start, using what I had in mind yesterday but now with some more fitting colors and some nicer bling

It is made with the sketch from Sophisticat and also for the challenge at: Stamp Something: BLING it something. And here is my second try on this card. The remainings of the first are in the trashcan.

I got the silver metalic paper ages ago, it's embossed already and the package contains multiple colors, but no brandname on it. I love it but didn't know where to use it before because they are real bright colors, including this silver and one gold. But I like it in this card. Sparkly gems and the snowflakes are my fav so I have lots of them in all sorts and sizes and from many diffrent brands. Some are actually from childrens craftsets, or from the local drugstore.

GD at FF and 3 challenges

Sometimes I get a bit overly excited about combining challenges. So I try to limit it to 3 challenges at ones.
This time it was hard to do so, but I managed (barely).

This one is for:

• Funky Fairy and also for the GD-call : no picture allowed
• Stamp Something : Bling up your project
• Friday Sketchers:  a beautiful sketch (see bottom post)

I looked for sketches earlier today and did see this one, but when I had the time to get them to my PC to really make them, I couldn't find the beauty I was sure I had seen. So I searched for it and finally found it again. To my releave because I just think it is an adorable sketch!

And here is my take to all three of the challenges:

For FF I used the fun paper from the "In with the old" as the middle panel and the background of the sentiment is from the same set. The rest are in powder pink and lilac colors. Used lillte pearls for the corners and white and lilac (two diffrent shades) bling hearts

I think I blinged it up real heavy but it just works so well with the sketch :)

Mondays on sunday

Loved the sketch from Mojo Monday but didn't had Mojo enough to get something nice done with it.
So today I sat done with it with a new sweet set of pics that I bought the day before and got to it.

Flow

Just because I am in the flow of making birthday and celebration cards, this one doesn't have a destination yet but will be used on a later date.

I have used the sketch at Delightful Sketches as usual it's a very beautiful one.
And again I used a digi stamp from Dustin Pike, I did't want the fish to be an ordanary goldfish so I made it more like a koy. With spots an such in yellow and orange. First I did want the balloon just with a hint of blue for the water inside, but it looked so wrong, so I eventually just colored the water in total blue. The bubbles are a diffrent blue which I also used in the sentiment letters and around the text.

The aqua and red band/ribbon reminded me of fishscales as did the bit shiny cardstock although they are a sort of little flowers. The panels are done with embossed paper which are colored with stamping ink. Also to fit the picture and get it to look like waterbubbles. Colored my flowers with stamping ink and copics because I didn't have the good color to fit in.

      

Now to find a real fishy friend to get her or hos birthday :) Or maybe for a catlover :]

third card with a reason

This week we have a lot of birthdays. And this one is for the female friend who had her birthday yesterday. Why we didn't had the card earlier? Well we did, but yesterday she called us to tell us she was sick. Her kids and husband were sick this week and she just been the last but wasn't left out of the fun :(

So we had to send it in stead of just taking it with us.
It's made wih the sketch from CPS a simple but effective sketch, and here is the card:

and the only detail because this time my boyfriend made the photo's and he didn't look at them untill after he posted the cards. So can't do it again and these two photo's are the only two that are reasonably sharp:

Made the Cupcake myself and the text is made with the computer,the glitterpaper is normal bright yellow paper with glitter glued on it.

Second card with reason

For the birthday for a friend of ours I wanted a bit of a diffrent card. Already was thinking on how to use the sweet little Cat-fairy from Dustin Pike,so I used it for my frinds birthday :)

I wanted to make it a bit funny, like they wouldn't get the catfairy image so I came up with the idea of making this background in two grading colors, with text like in a dictionary. Ofcourse something like this could never be found in any dictionary, but doesn't it look great?

I used the sketch from SophistiCat because I wanted some clouds with the catimage and this worked just fine. And for the challenge at ABC challenge they wanted something fling :)
I loved doing this and I put it in the snailmail today:) Hope he likes it to!

Card with a reason

Sometime a just make a card (that I can use) just because I like the challenge and I want to make something. This time and the following post are diffrent, they have a destination set before making the card.

I love the dragons from Dustin Pike he is a great artist and makes the sweetest and "simple" drawings I love to use. Just fun stuff, always want to get more, but there (almost) isn't... But because I bought a bunch of them in a big bundle, I don't made all those sweeties into a card (or something else).

Well my sweet collegea has had to go to hospital for some surgery, she was so very nervous. I hated it because I couldn't be there to help her. So what I did is make this card, specially for her. I hope it can lift her spirit.

So the red square is reused; it's from my hobbyshop and comes from background  in packaging from some other stuff.
Flower fabric is not new but I love to use it, found it two weeks ago and love using it cause of the bright structured colors.

Because we often have people over for dinner, invitation cards are welcome over here.

This little bear is one I wanted to use for some time now. My boyfriend is not so into him, that's why it's laying here for ages. But this time, he was already in bed and didn't know I was going to use him. He still doesn't like the card, but hey... It's made already so, deal with it :))

Oh, I used the sketch from PapertakeWeekly and the color brown from Stamp Something.
And I wanted the whole card to get that oldfashioned look, from the time dinnerparties and cooking for others and your family was so normal.

I couldn't resist making more brown cards for the challenge at Stamp Something. And becaue I love using sketches for this one I used the sketch at Sketch Saturday. It's a real beauty (the sketch I mean).

Again I used a favorit of mine as my subject. COFFEE !! And this time I used my little heart shaped brads with some foam sheet, so it just looks like chocolat :) One of everybodies favorit I think. And some real coffee beans. The sentiment is distressed with my brown Copics and it looks just like a brand of cookies we have here in Holland. Well, the cookies don't have any text on them, but they do have that not even brown color and the litte rounded edges...

Cute and Delightful

I had to use this picture and had it all in my mind set, but didn't have a good idea about how. So I used the sketch from Delightful Sketches and combines it with the challenge from CuteCard Thursday which is: using Charms.

And these little rosebut (rosebud?) charms were just lying around so I used them for this.

They are tied to a little leather cord which I also used with the flower beads
